About Us: Dr. Carlos Echevarria is the Chief Medical Officer of Veins and Vascular Centers of Excellence. Dr. Echevarria completed his subspecialty training in Venous and Lymphatic disease in the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

He also obtained an executive master’s degree in Medical Management from the Marshall School of Business at USC and a certificate in Medical Device Development from Harvard Catalyst.

He has been the award winner of multiple scholarships supporting his vascular career. These accolades came from esteemed institutions such as the American Society of Laser in Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS)/Beckman Laser Institute – Vascular Clinic at UC Irvine, American Academy of Phlebology/American Vein and Lymphatic Society (AVLS), the American Society of Vascular Medicine, and the American Venous Forum (AVF.)

Dr. Echevarria’s commitment extends beyond clinical practice, as he actively participates with multiple medical societies and organizations to establish quality standards for vein care and advancements in the field. His contributions are evident through his role as Chair of the Intravascular Ultrasound Committee and faculty at the AVLS, his involvement in the Venous Task Force for the American Society of Vascular Medicine, and his role as a consultant for the medical board, where he continues to shape the future of vascular care.

Today, he stands as a sought-after authority in phlebology, shaping the landscape of vascular medicine and surgical venous interventions.
