About Us

Carlos R. Echevarria MD, MMM, RPVI. Subspecialty in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
-
My passion for medicine started at a very young age. I was influenced greatly by my father, a distinguished plastic and reconstructive surgeon, who initiated me in the art of surgery and instrumentation.
-
I enjoyed my childhood. I grew up acting in all school plays, but reading anatomy books instead of screenplays, using scalpels instead of scissors, and stitching instead of sewing.
-
My family has always been with me, traveling across the country to further my education and career (and now I am doing to my daughter the same thing my father did to me).
-
To my friends and all of those who have been there for me in the good, bad, and ugly.
-
I surrounded myself with great people, my mentors: Kristen Kelly, MD – Beckman Laser Institute/Vascular Clinic- UC Irvine.
